Fresh Celebrity Imagery and Video, including Interviews with Actors and Directors by Editors of Moving Pictures Magazine, to be Licensed through OutlineLive and Corbis Motion
LOS ANGELES (August 23, 2007) - Moving Pictures Magazine, a subsidiary of entertainment media company, Maitland Primrose Group, and Corbis (www.corbis.com), a creative resource for advertising, marketing and media professionals, today announced that they will team up to create and license premium celebrity imagery and video, including celebrity interviews, from the Toronto International Film Festival running September 6 to 15.
The behind-the-scenes imagery and video, including exclusive celebrity candids and interviews with actors and filmmakers by Moving Pictures Magazine editors, will be shot in the special OutlineLive mobile studio at the event. Moving Pictures Magazine will feature the imagery in its comprehensive editorial coverage of the event in its Maggie Award-winning publication as well as on its online destination, www.MovingPicturesMagazine.com.
"Our industry is changing at breathtaking speed, and it's all about innovation and anticipating the celebrity imagery needs of our clients," said Beate Chelette, Senior Director of Photography, Entertainment, Corbis. "Our collaboration with Moving Pictures Magazine gives Corbis Personalities and Corbis Motion broad coverage of the Toronto Film Festival with a fresh, new perspective."
Moving Pictures Magazine takes pride in bridging the divide between filmmakers and their audience, placing the focus on the art and inspiration, rather than the speculation and criticism, of cinema's key creative minds. Delving into the culture and controversy of film, Moving Pictures Magazine strives to connect its audience to the world of motion pictures in a creative and socially relevant manner that fosters discussion on the art and impact of movies worldwide. Moving Pictures Magazine is based in Santa Monica, California.
"Corbis's quality photography, reputation and aesthetically attractive approach to the entertainment industry made collaboration a perfect fit for us," said Elliot V. Kotek, Editor-in-Chief, MPM. "This partnership allows us to blend our expertise and intimate knowledge of the world behind the movies with Corbis' global visual signature."
OutlineLive is a contemporary and fresh collection of celebrity photography featuring high-quality, candid celebrity portraiture that is faster and easier to license and is accessible for any editorial use, including online. The innovative offering launched worldwide earlier this year features more than 35,000 images from the world's leading celebrity photographers. Corbis Motion features more than 25,000 clips and 30,000 hours of video footage for editorial and commercial use.
